Corby

Corby is small town located in the county of Northamptonshire. The town traditionally developed around the iron and steel industry, and in 1950 was designated a new town which led to development including open spaces and a car-friendly layout.  Today there are many retail and distribution companies in the town including Weetabix, Matalan, Comet,  Argos and Morrisons.

The town has recently benefited from new arts, sports and shopping developments including the new Corby Swimming Pool Complex and the Willow Arts Centre.  The Lodge Park Sports Centre and Adrenelin Alley provide further sports and leisure opportunities and the Rockingham Race Track is close by.  There is also an 18-hole, par 72 “pay and play” just 4 miles from Corby town centre and open seven days a week.

East Midland Trains provide an hourly service to London St Pancras from Corby’s new train station. There is easy access to A43, A427, A6003 roads from the town and the A14 and A(1)M are close by.  Corby is within a couple of hours of Birmingham International, Luton, Stansted and East Midlands airports.
